Hi there.
I lived in Miyazaki in Kyushu from 1997 to 1999 as a junior high school English teacher on the JET program. I moved back to New York and worked in the Japanese media and did some freelance writing for nine years. I can't seem to get away - an unexpected series of happy events brought me back to Tokyo in 2008. I write and edit in English. I am a contributing editor to Quakebook and blogged a little and tweeted a lot for TEDxTokyo.
I speak Japanese. I am available for writing, editing and copywriting work. If you're here hoping for anime or manga or samurai dramas or whatever, of course you're welcome to stick around, but you'll probably be disappointed. Despite all this time in Japan, I've never gotten super into any of this stuff.
